Take the durable and functional M16 and add a deep bellied spear point grind to the blade, and you've got the  M21, the next generation of the popular CRKT line.  Great Escapes is offering it in both the “Little Bulldog” and “Big Dog” sizes, so you can get just the knife you're looking for.

The M21 blade is ground from premium AUS 8 stainless with a frosted finish.  AUS 8 gives terrific edge retention.  Though the spine has a false edge, the blade center maintains it's full thickness through most of the length for strength.  The edge itself features your choice of a razor sharp grind or combined triple point serration.

Like the M16 line, the M21 includes the Lawks knife safety that effectively converts the knife to a virtual fixed blade when locked open.  The M21 also features the "Carson Flipper" for smooth  rapid one hand deployment.    A simple push with one finger and flip of the wrist rapidly deploys the blade with one hand.  Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot assure velvety-smooth operation.  

Kit Carson’s open build uses contoured handles of 6061 T6 aluminum, with a hard anodized charcoal gray finish.  The skeletonized design reduces weight, and the perimeter radius allows for a comfortable grip.  The blade lock is a stainless locking liner for easy one hand closing.
