The 3 Axis Compass allows you to get a bearing even if you're standing still or aren't holding the unit level.  Dakota 20 also features a barometric altimeter that allows you to determine your altitude precisely and plot altitude changes. 

The Dakota is a terrific unit for Geocaching, accepting cache data download right from your computer.  No more paper printouts or manually entered coordinates.  And it holds up to 2000 caches!  Want to share your map and cache data with a friend?  The Dakota lets you send all your favorites with wireless simplicity to other compatible units including Dakota, Oregon, Colorado and Foretrex models.
