The Optimus Crux is a backcountry stove that provides the ease and simplicity of butane canister cooking, yet folds down to literally nothing. Nothing? Yep, it folds so small, that it fits inside the concave area beneath your fuel canister so it takes essentially no room at all!
The Crux is light too. In fact, 10% lighter than it's award winning predecessor. It's an efficient cooker thanks to its extra large flame spreader that helps eliminate hot spots and burning. It's an awesome performer at high altitude, and provides a cooking surface that steadies even larger pots.
The Crux uses conventional butane/propane containers providing an average burn time of one hour per cartridge at maximum output and even more at lower output. Boils 1 liter of water in about 3 minutes depending on altitude and conditions. Includes storage sack.
